Australian born Jackie Aitken is a highly sought after performer. What started off as a hobby at the young age of 4, quickly became a lifelong passion. Having a decade of worldwide professional experience, she is currently living her dream in New York City.
Jackie trained her whole life at Conroy Dance Centre in Brisbane, one of Australia’s top performing arts schools. She trained intensely in jazz, ballet, tap, musical theatre and hip hop. Completing major examinations in R.A.D. Classical Ballet and C.S.T.D. examinations in jazz and tap, also gaining her teachers diploma with C.S.T.D. syllabus.
Jackie recently moved to America where she was accepted into the famous high kicking troupe, The Radio City Rockettes. In 2014 she performed at The Grand Ole Opry, Nashville for The Radio City Christmas Spectacular, and the following years has joined the group performing in New York City, at the world famous Radio City Music Hall.
With The Radio City Rockettes you would have seen Jackie performing in the annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, or on television shows such as Live with Kelly, The Chew and with Harry Connick Jr. Jackie was also part of retail store New York and Company's nationwide annual Christmas campaign with The Rockettes.
Recently Jackie had the pleasure performing in the world premiere of Burning Desire, starring and written by Lou Diamond Phillips, in the equity theatre Seven Angels Theatre, Connecticut.
Jackie’s professional career started off young, when she was 18 years old she was scouted by the world’s most famous cabaret, The Moulin Rouge in Paris. Not long after arriving, Jackie was the very few selected to learn the Principal and Soloist roles of the Cabaret. Moulin Rouge opened up many opportunities for her, being chosen for numerous photo shoots for magazines Marie Claire, Harpers Bazaar and Women's Day to name a few, and many interviews over the years. Most recently, she toured with Moulin Rouge to New York City for The Best of France event in Times Square, Singapore and her home country Australia, to perform in one of Australia’s largest events, The Melbourne Cup.
In 2009 Jackie was back home working in Sydney, where she performed on The Sydney Showboat. She also worked with major choreographers such as The Squared Division – Ashley Evans and Anthony Ginandjar and Project Moda – Shannon Holtzapffel and Simon Lind.
Jackie’s talents also travelled her throughout the Caribbean, performing with Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines – Freedom of the Seas, one of Royal’s larger fleets.
Jackie’s natural talent and beauty has seen her working internationally dancing and modelling for companies as Puma, Issey Miyake, Lancome, Arena Swimwear, Diane Von Furstenberg, Schwarzkopf, L’Oreal, Sony and Amazon to name a few. She has appeared in television commercials for Nutella, Nurofen and Channel V and featured in music videos for Eskimo Joe and Massive Attack artist Tricky.
Jackie is very excited for her next chapter in America, continuing living her dream and passion of performing.
